Andrew Harper has worked in higher education for 15 years as Manager of Employer Relations and Internship Coordinator at St. Edward’s University, Career Services Advisor at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts – Austin and as an adjunct history instructor at Austin Community College. At St. Edward’s, Andrew has administered employer relations and experiential education programs and taught career exploration, research, history and writing courses. His service to campus includes chairing the Student Success Center Professional Development Committee and co-advising the campus LGBTQA+ student organization.
Through his leadership in several professional associations, Andrew has served as an advocate of expanding career development and experiential learning. His leadership includes serving as a past president and conference chair of the Texas Cooperative Education & Internship Association (TxCEIA), programs and local arrangements chair for the Southern Association & Colleges and Employers (SoACE) and representing Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas on the national Cooperative Education Board of Directors (CEIA). Andrew is currently chairing the next CEIA Conference scheduled for March 2020 in San Diego, CA.
Andrew earned a B.A. in English Writing & Rhetoric and M.L.A with a concentration in Social Sciences from St. Edward’s University. He is the recipient of the 2017 SoACE Champion of Diversity Award.
